Terms of Service
Draft — last updated 31 July 2026. Pending legal review before public launch.
The service
PostalMCP prints and posts physical mail on your instruction, including instructions issued by an AI agent you have connected to your account. You are responsible for everything sent from your account, whether you typed it or an agent you authorised did.
How sending works
Sending is deliberately a two-step action. A prepare_* call renders,
prices and proofs a piece and charges nothing. A send_* call takes only
the resulting token and is the point at which your card is charged and the piece is produced. You
should review the price and proof before confirming.
Payment
You are charged per piece at the prices shown in the catalog at the time of sending. Payment is captured before anything is handed to the printer. If a piece cannot be produced, its share is refunded automatically. A piece can be cancelled for a full refund until it enters production, usually a few minutes after sending; after that it will be mailed.
What you may not send
You may not use PostalMCP to send:
- threats of violence, harm or intimidation;
- mail made to appear to come from a government agency, court, law-enforcement body or tax authority;
- extortion — demands backed by a threat to harm, expose or defame;
- a third party's private information published to harass them;
- anything unlawful in the destination country.
Content is screened automatically before printing. Screening is narrow by design: robust complaints, legal demand letters, debt collection, disputes and political or religious material are not prohibited. We may suspend an account that repeatedly attempts prohibited mail.
Recipients
Anyone may add themselves to our do-not-mail list at mcp.postalmcp.com/opt-out without an account. Once listed, mail to that person at that address is refused, and this cannot be overridden by any user. You must not attempt to circumvent it.
Limits
Per-recipient, hourly, daily, batch-size and daily-spend limits apply to every account. They exist to bound abuse and to bound the damage a malfunctioning agent can do to your card. Contact us if you have a legitimate need for higher limits.
Delivery
We hand mail to postal operators; we do not control their networks. Delivery estimates are estimates. We are not liable for postal delays, loss in the postal system, or the consequences of mail arriving late — including missed filing deadlines. If you are mailing to a deadline, allow time, and consider certified mail so you have proof of the mailing date.
Liability
Our liability for any piece is limited to the amount you paid for that piece. We are not liable for indirect or consequential loss.
